Welcome to Trellis

By using Trellis ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. We've tried to keep this readable - no one likes legalese.

What Trellis does

Trellis is a personal finance tool that helps you understand your spending, find savings opportunities, and make smarter shopping decisions. It is not financial advice. We're a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. Always consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Trellis.
• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• One account per person. Don't share your login.
• Provide accurate information - we need it to give you useful recommendations.

Your data

You own your data. When you connect a bank account via Plaid, upload bank statements, or scan receipts, that information belongs to you. We process it to provide our services, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request deletion at any time.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. When you delete your account, all associated data — including transaction history, spending analysis, and personal information — is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Bank statement files are not retained beyond the initial processing period.

You can request data deletion at any time by contacting support@trelliss.app or using the delete account option in the app.

Subscriptions

Some features require a premium subscription, managed through RevenueCat. Subscription terms:

• Billing occurs through your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play).
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's subscription settings.
• Refunds are handled by the respective app store per their policies.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• Use Trellis for anything illegal.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the app.
• Upload fake or fraudulent financial data.
• Resell or redistribute Trellis features.

Accuracy & limitations

We do our best to provide accurate spending analysis, deal information, and savings estimates. However:

• Deal prices and availability may change without notice.
• Product swap suggestions are recommendations, not guarantees.
• Savings estimates are projections based on your data and may vary.
• We're not liable for decisions made based on Trellis data.

Changes to the service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of Trellis. We'll give reasonable notice for significant changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our privacy policy.
